Mr Sanjiv Mehta is the CEO & Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited. He also leads Unilever’s business in South Asia as the Executive Vice President.
Sanjiv took over as the CEO and Managing Director of HUL in October 2013. He has done his Bachelors in Commerce (India), Chartered Accountancy (India) and has also completed his Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School. Sanjiv has been with Unilever for 25 years and for the last 16 years has led businesses in different parts of the world. Amit Malviya currently heads the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National – Information and Technology Department.
As part of his responsibility, he oversees all party related communication through digital channels. The remit of his work includes drafting election strategies [includes devising digital communication strategies and electoral analytics] for poll bound states and ensuring effective implementation. Reaching out to volunteers and engaging them is a significant part of his role. Strengthening the organization, training cadres and ensuring that respective state units are constantly being up-tiered is an important aspect of the role. Before this, he had co-founded a national movement called the Friends of BJP, which was aimed at creating a platform for facilitating interaction of India’s rising middle class with the political class.

Harshbeena Sahney Zaveri is the Vice Chairman & Managing Director of NRB Bearings Limited. She graduated with freshman distinction and as a Wellesley Scholar (magna cum laude) with an honors thesis from Wellesley College. Focused on achieving Wellesley’s vision of developing women leaders, she is the only woman founder of Ashoka University, India’s first liberal arts university.
She joined NRB as a trainee in 1987 and rose to become the President in 2001. Harshbeena spearheaded NRB’s foray into Design Engineering and set up an R&D Centre, enabling NRB to become a supplier to the world’s foremost automotive and mobility companies including Mercedes, Volvo, Renault, Audi, Daimler and Mazda and Honda. Under her leadership, Forbes Magazine selected NRB Bearings Limited as one of Asia’s Best 200 companies under US $ 1 Billion in the year 2007. Fortune Magazine has ranked Harshbeena amongst the top 17 Most Powerful Indian Business Women from 2011 to date. In 2011, and more recently in 2017, Business Today named her one of India’s 50 Most Powerful Women and India Today ranked her among the 25 Most Influential Women Professionals in 2012. On behalf of CII, she launched the latest international best seller “Frugal Innovation” written by Mr. Navi Radjou, Winner of the 2013 Thinker50 Innovation Award. Kartik Sharma is the Managing Director – India and South Asia, Wavemaker. Wavemaker is the new media, content and technology agency formed by the merger of Maxus and MEC globally. Before becoming the Managing Director of Wavemaker, Kartik was Managing Director of Maxus, South Asia.
After completing his MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in 1995, Kartik began his career with HTA as a Media Planner on the Unilever Business. He moved to Lintas as Channel Planning Director from 1997, where he continued to work on Unilever, in addition to clients like Bajaj Auto, Raymonds etc. In 2000 Kartik joined Mindshare where he was Planning Director from 2000-03. A visionary and a thorough bred media professional, Kranti is the woman behind the scenes. She pioneered and set-up the company’s mobile business and played a key role in the company’s early adoption of digital platforms.
As Chief Operating Officer, Shemaroo Entertainment, Kranti heads the revenue function of the company to drive extensive and sustainable growth. She was instrumental in incubating the company’s expansion into the DTH segment. She is also responsible for digital media, DTH and international business verticals.
Kranti joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She setup Shemaroo’s mobile business and soon established the company as a leading Mobile VAS player in India. Her understanding and clear vision of the digital future for content enabled Shemaroo to became one of the early adopters of Youtube for monetization of its content. She launched successful online propositions like Filmi Gaane & ShemarooMovies.
In early 2015, Kranti created a new vertical – which was a team of specialists specifically handpicked to focus and identify new revenue streams for Shemaroo, christened as ‘New Business Division’. Madhukar Sabnavis is a Maths Honours Gold Medallist from St Stephen’s College, Delhi and PGDM from IIM, Ahmedabad. He started his advertising career with Clarion Advertising in 1985 and moved to Ogilvy in 1988. He is on the Ogilvy Worldwide Board and a member of the Asia Pacific Regional Committee. He currently partners business leaders in growing large local businesses.
In the last 33 years, he has worked on a number of national and multinational clients across categories like fmcg, durables and services. He helped create a new agency brand for Ogilvy India - Brand David - in the Indian advertising market space which is today part of Bates India. He set up account planning in Ogilvy India in 2002. Under his leadership, Ogilvy has become a much awarded Indian agency at the Indian Effies and Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards. He has also developed a number of workshop tools like Ogilvy OpenSource, OgilvyVision and OgilvyCombat that help solve business and brand problems – which he has run for many clients.

Sanjay Trehan is currently a Digital & New Media Consultant. With over 30 years’ experience in the super exciting space of new media and advertising across web, video, print and mobile content landscapes and monetisation models, he is now excited about creating disproportionate value for companies.
Before turning a new media consultant, Sanjay was the Business Head-Digital Content & Syndication with HT Digital Streams Ltd. Earlier he was with MSN India (portal and apps) for Microsoft Information and Content Experiences (ICE) Group as its Head & Executive Producer. A seasoned internet professional, Sanjay brings a deep understanding of the converging media ecosystem. Prior to joining Microsoft, Sanjay was the founding CEO of NDTV Convergence Ltd., the digital arm of NDTV. Under Sanjay’s leadership, NDTV Convergence incubated many new initiatives in the Web 2.0 and mobile space including the revamp of NDTV.com and the launch of India’s first full-service WAP portal.
Prior to NDTV, Sanjay was Vice President Broadband and Web 2.0 at Times Internet Ltd., where he rolled out a number of verticals and built Web 2.0 communities. He also took Indiatimes into the online gaming arena. Previous to that, he was the Chief of Internet at Hindustan Times, where he played a key role in turning the website into a profitable business.
An alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, Sanjay is a founding member of Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). He has also published a book of poems.
Sanjay and his wife currently reside in Gurgaon, India with their daughter.

Across his tenure he has had the opportunity to work the length and breadth of India and neighbouring countries.He has been recognized at multiple external forums for his expertise in his subject, especially Rural sales strategy.Sankalp is also the recepient of many global and national level awards for his contributions in the field of Sales and Marketing.

Sudhakar Rao studied Mechanical Engg at graduate level and went to IIM, Bangalore for Post Graduate Program in Management. Sudhakar Rao started his career as Brand Manager and moved up as SBU Head and Director. In a career spanning over 20 yrs, Sudhakar Rao played multiple roles of Branding, Marketing, P & L responsibilities, Corporate Relations, International Operations etc. In the last 2 decades of fast track work life, Sudhakar Rao dealt with sectors like Textiles, Food and Education where he not only launched many brands but also nurtured them towards their rightful position in the market place. At ICFAI, Sudhakar Rao is the Head of Branding for the entire Group that includes 11 ICFAI Universities, 9 ICFAI Business Schools, 7 Tech Schools, 5 Law Schools and a huge Distance Learning Program.
