Gunjan Shah

Gunjan is an accomplished leader who has worked across geographies in varied industries - paints, telecom & foods. Prior to Bata India Limited he worked as the Chief Commercial Officer of Britannia Industries.

In his professional journey he has worked across several functions encompassing sales, marketing and supply chain and has been involved in both turnarounds and growth journeys. He has also led Britannia’s International Business and architected one of its most impactful strategy and business transformations.

He holds a Bachelor of Technology (Computers) from VJTI , Mumbai. He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Technology , Kolkata .

Ajit Varghese
Chief Commercial Officer, ShareChat & Moj


Ajit Varghese is the Chief Commercial Officer at ShareChat and Moj. He is responsible for driving monetization, leading marketing efforts and content partnerships.

As an accomplished global leader in the advertising and marketing industry, Ajit has over 25 years of experience, fronting large-scale business transformations, and building diverse businesses around media, creative, digital, data, content, sports, and performance.

Prior to ShareChat, Ajit was the Global President of Wavemaker, a WPP group media agency, overseeing business operations and driving growth across 50+ markets based out of London. He was leading a team of 3,000+ globally dispersed professionals across EMEA, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Over the last two decades, Ajit has also worked with companies including Maxus India & Asia Pacific, Madison World, Kantar IMRB, and Initiative Universal Media (IUM).

Ajit has a Master’s from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, and a Bachelor's in Agricultural Engineering. While he hails from Kerala, he was born and brought up in Rourkela, Orissa. Ajit is fluent in four languages - English, Hindi, Malayalam, Oriya and enjoys exploring trending content on social media across comedy, sports, and fitness genres.

Chairman, Marico


Harsh C. Mariwala leads Marico Limited (Marico) as its Chairman. Over the last 3 decades, he has transformed a traditional commodity driven business into a leading Consumer Products Company, in the Beauty and Wellness space. Marico markets leading brands such as Parachute Advansed, Saffola, Mediker, Revive, Setwet, Livon among others. Today one out of three Indians is a Marico consumer. Marico has also established strong consumer franchises in its overseas markets in Asia and Africa.

Harsh’s passion for innovation, enthused him to establish the Marico Innovation Foundation in 2003 which works towards nurturing innovations in India. As an expression of his Personal Social Responsibility, in 2012, he launched ASCENT Foundation - Accelerating the SCaling up of ENTerprises - a peer-learning entrepreneurial platform.

He is also Chairman & Managing Director of Kaya Limited. Sharrp Ventures is the Family Office of the Harsh Mariwala Family. He also founded the Mariwala Health Initiative (MHI) in 2015, with the philanthropic aim of giving back to society.

He was recently bestowed the EY Entrepreneur of the year award 2020 for India which is the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs.

Suparna Mitra
CEO - Watches and Wearables Division, Titan


Suparna is the CEO of the Watches and Wearables Division of Titan Company Limited. She is an electrical engineer from Jadavpur University and a MBA from IIM, Calcutta. She has extensive business experience, mainly in the lifestyle / retail marketing area.

She started her career as a management trainee in Hindustan Lever Limited. Subsequently she joined Titan where she worked on several roles in marketing, both International and Domestic. The next stint was at Talisma Corp. as a Director – Product Marketing. She moved on to become Business Head – Lee in Arvind Brands Ltd.

She rejoined Titan and became the Global Marketing Head – Titan where she was responsible for all marketing in India and international markets. After this stint, she was the Regional Business Head- South for Titan Company Ltd where she was heading all businesses of Titan Company Ltd including watches, jewellery and eyewear for the South region.

Her last assignment was as the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the Watches and Wearables division.

Suparna currently serves on the Board of Governors for IIM Kozhikode and has previously served on the board of Tata Power Solar.

Mainak Dhar
Vice President and Managing Director, Kimberly-Clark India & South Asia


Mainak Dhar is a global professional with over 25 years of leadership experience. He has been instrumental in business acceleration for brands across diverse markets including India, China, ANZ, Korea, South East Asia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Middle East and Africa. At present, he is leading Kimberly-Clark into a new phase of transformational growth in India and South Asian markets.

Mainak began his career with Procter & Gamble and spent eighteen years there in marketing and general management across the Asia Pacific region. He then moved to General Mills as the CEO for India.

A firm believer in the philosophy that good business goes hand in hand with doing good, Mainak strives to make a positive impact to all - employees, stakeholders and the broader community.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Mainak has also authored over fifteen books, some of which have been bestsellers in India and abroad, including the Alice in Deadland series, 03:02 and Sniper’s Eye. His books have been translated into multiple languages, reaching millions of readers worldwide.

Sonali Malaviya
Managing Director, India - Essence


Sonali Malaviya is Managing Director, India at Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency that is part of GroupM. Leading Essence across its offices in Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai, she is responsible for driving continued client-centric innovation in data, analytics and technology, as well as business growth and company culture for the agency in India. As part of her role, she is also a member of Essence’s APAC leadership team and GroupM India’s executive committee.

Joining Essence in 2018, Sonali previously led the agency’s Google business in India and Southeast Asia as Senior Vice President, Client Services. Earlier, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Colorbar Cosmetics and Country Marketing Lead at Twitter in India. With over 20 years of experience in management, marketing and media across industries and markets, she has also held senior roles at Mindshare, PHD, Roy Morgan Research and MediaCom in India, the United Arab Emirates and Australia.

A postgraduate in business management from the Australian Graduate School of Management, Sonali strives to build strong, collaborative partnerships with clients and employees alike, and is an advocate of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. In addition, she is a firm believer in change as the only constant, and continuous learning and exploring are what keep her going.

Shivam Puri

Shivam Puri brings the edge and discipline of 17 years of sales and marketing experience in the diverse Indian FMCG sector to the world of healthcare. An alumnus of IIT-BHU and IIM-Lucknow, he has had successful stints across leading companies like Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd, Hindustan Unilever and ITC Ltd. Under his able leadership as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Cipla Health Limited looks to rapidly scale up and transform healthcare in India by pushing the boundaries to consistently innovate and offer world-class wellness products to make a difference to the lives of consumers every day. In his spare time, Shivam runs marathons and plays the drums. As a doting dad, he loves spending time with his two boys.

Nina Elavia Jaipuria

A turnaround expert and a determined leader - Nina Elavia Jaipuria has played a decisive role in scripting the futuristic growth story of the kids entertainment category in India with NICKELODEON and driving the leadership agenda of the Hindi Mass Entertainment broadcast category with the COLORS franchise.

In an illustrious career spanning close to 3 decades across FMCG, telecom, broadcast and advertising, Nina has spearheaded numerous landmark product launches, campaigns, and strategic business innovations and initiatives. Since taking on the leadership mantle of the kids cluster at Viacom18 in 2006, Nina has built an inspired and talented team that has fuelled Nickelodeon’s sustained category leadership, withstanding the test of time. An MBA from Sydenham Institute of Management, Nina started her journey in advertising with the memorable launch of Surf Excel at Lintas. She moved on to Colgate to look after their Cibaca toothbrush portfolio followed by her shift to BPL Cellular to work on its customer acquisition strategy. She started her stint in the broadcast industry with Sony Entertainment Television where she launched iconic brand campaigns for industry leading shows such as Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi, Indian Idol and the current social phenomena - Bigg Boss.

A remarkable people’s person, Nina leads an inspired team at Nickelodeon and Colors and is reckoned for her ability to attract, grow, and nurture talent. Nina has also been voted as one of IMPACT’s “50 Most Influential Women in Indian Media, Marketing & Advertising” for 9 years. Nina chairs the Internal “POSH” committee at Viacom18 and has also been a part of the reputed and prestigious “FICCI Women on Corporate Board” program. She is also a committed Philanthropist and is an active member of the Social Venture Partners (SVP) and supports many charities in her individual capacity. Married with one daughter, Nina also loves to travel and soak in world cultures.

Abhishek Ganguly
Managing Director, PUMA India and Southeast Asia


Abhishek Ganguly is the Managing Director, PUMA India and Southeast Asia. As a key member of the global leadership team, Abhishek is responsible for over 15 key growth markets such as India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore.

Abhishek joined PUMA’s founding team as Director - Sales & Marketing in 2006. He played a pivotal role in setting up the sales, marketing, retail, product, sourcing and planning functions in the company. In his previous role as Managing Director at PUMA India, he was responsible for driving digital transformation initiatives. With a goal of accelerating the company’s growth in the market, Abhishek was instrumental in establishing PUMA as the No.1 sports brand in the country.

Prior to joining PUMA, he had a successful stint with Reebok where he led business operations in South India. From Supply Chain and Planning to Sales and Retail, his expertise spanned across the value chain.

An active Angel Investor, he invests in and mentors promising start-ups in his individual capacity. He is part of the Indian Angel Network and an LP in Stellaris Venture Partners.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, Abhishek was recognized by The Economic Times on their 40 under Forty list of India Inc.’s top business leaders in 2018.

Prasanth Kumar
Chief Executive Officer – GroupM South Asia


Prasanth Kumar is the Chief Executive Officer – GroupM South Asia managing India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Most recently as GroupM’s COO South Asia, he was responsible for driving operational excellence, while leading teams across OpCos, Trading, and Specialised Units to drive client delight while fortifying partnerships.

Prior to that, Prasanth oversaw Mindshare’s rapid expansion in the market as its CEO. Bringing it to a market-leading position and winning numerous global awards. Under his leadership, Mindshare India developed a record for the most number of new business wins by a single market and created a tradition of external accolades, including a Glass Lion at Cannes, a Grand Prix at WARC and an average of over 250+ external awards per year. Mindshare India was also recognized globally as number 2 in the Gunn report. Prior to Mindshare, he led the GroupM Central Trading Group across South Asia and championed exciting partnerships in digital and traditional media.

Prasanth has held several roles across Mindshare and GroupM over the years. Prasanth joined Maxus Bangalore in 2004 and now has spent more than 15 years with GroupM. PK, as he is known amongst friends, is an MBA graduate from Madras University. He was the first Indian to win the APAC Media Planner/Buyer of the Year title.

Rajesh Magow
Co-Founder & Group CEO, MakeMyTrip Limited


Rajesh Magow is the Co-Founder & Group Chief Executive Officer of MakeMyTrip Limited, the holding company of India’s leading travel brands MakeMyTrip, Goibibo and redBus. A part of the founding team that built MakeMyTrip ground up, Rajesh is a believer of India’s digital opportunity and a backer of many young Indian tech companies that are raring to make their mark.

An internet industry veteran with a demonstrated history of working at the intersection of India’s booming consumer technology and tourism sector, Rajesh is passionate about transforming business using tech and creating disproportionate value for customers. As CEO, Rajesh leads strategy and operations of MakeMyTrip Group, including the management of all business units within the organization.

Rajesh played a key role in executing a successful merger between MakeMyTrip and Ibibio group. He has also led the initial public offering of MakeMyTrip, with a successful listing on NASDAQ in the US in 2010. Within MakeMyTrip, Rajesh also acts as a mentor to the senior management team and other high-potential team members. He is a recipient of many awards, including the Bloomberg Award for the Best CFO in India in 2010.

Rajesh also serves as Director on the board of Flipkart. He has earlier served as the CFO and acting CEO for the India operations of eBookers.com, now part of Travelport. He started his career with Voltas and has also worked with Aptech Limited and Quantum in senior management positions.

Venu Nair
MD & CEO, Shoppers Stop


Mr. Venu Nair, is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Shoppers Stop. He is an International Retail Leader with a rich and varied experience in the Retail & Apparel Industry across South Asia & Europe. Venu joined us in the second half of 2020, and is leading the company’s growth, rebounding from the impact of the pandemic, and transforming itself into an omnichannel retailer.

Prior to joining Shoppers Stop, Venu was the CEO (Westside) at Trent Limited. where he was responsible for the growth of the brand across the country for over 3 years. For a large part of his tenure at Trent, he was also responsible the operations of Zudio and Landmark. From 2012 to 2017, he was Managing Director - Marks & Spencer Reliance Pvt. Ltd, where he spearheaded its growth. During his tenure, the turnover of the business tripled and the number of stores under operations, more than doubled, with a significant growth in local sourcing.

Venu had a long stint of over 8 years, working in London, with various retailers. While working for M&S in London, he took the opportunity to convince the M&S plc board to venture into India, and thus brought the M&S brand into India. He moved back to India as the Director of Marks & Spencer, India, to set up Buying Offices for the global M&S business in South Asia, headquartered in India, with country offices set up Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. In this role, he was responsible for sourcing of over $ 1bn of merchandise for Marks & Spencer plc.,

Venu is a Bachelor of Technology (Hon) from NIT, Calicut and a MBA in Marketing from S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.

Murugavel Janakiraman

Murugavel Janakiraman is the Founder and CEO, Matrimony.com – whose flagship brand is BharatMatrimony, the No. 1 and most trusted matrimony service. The company is powered by 3000+ employees across 120+ branches in 20 major cities in India. Matrimony.com is India’s first pure play Consumer Internet Company to be publicly listed.

In 1997, he pioneered the concept of online matchmaking that changed the way Indians marry.

Twice he was nominated by The Economic Times for the “Entrepreneur of the Year” award. He has been featured among Top Technology Leaders 2020 by Exchange4Media's Impact Magazine, recognised as a “Disruptor” in the Technology domain by Your Story besides awarded Digital Entrepreneur of the Year by WAT. He was also Chairman of the IAMAI (Internet and Mobile Association of India).

Amanpreet Bajaj

Amanpreet Bajaj is the General Manager (India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan) at Airbnb. He is responsible for the growth of Airbnb in India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan, as well as overseeing operations for the Indian market.

He has been a successful entrepreneur and brings with him years of rich experience in Indian digital space. He co-founded Letsbuy.com (India’s leading online electronics retailer at that time) in 2010 that was acquired by Flipkart.com in 2012 creating significant value for his investors and employees. During this journey Amanpreet managed cross-functional teams across locations, heading the strategy and operations of the business with primary focus on growth of the ecommerce business. His professional career also includes a stint with Ernst & Young as a Consultant, working with teams across varied sectors.

Amanpreet is also considered as a thought leader and often seen at industry forums as a speaker, mentor and networker with a single passion to grow the digital ecosystem in India. He has been featured as one of the promising “40 Under 40” Leaders by Fortune Magazine for 2 years in a row in 2017 and 2018.

Amanpreet lives in Gurgaon. An avid graphic designer and gadget explorer, he loves travelling and experiencing new cultures.

Sumit Rai

Sumit comes with over 27 years of professional experience. He spent nearly 20 years in Life Insurance business in building distribution capabilities across diverse channels and businesses.

Sumit has been instrumental in strategizing and implementing various initiatives inclusive of automation, learning programs, market penetration and talent management aiming towards performance enhancement and organizational growth. Prior to Max Life, he was associated with Bank of America and ABN Amro Bank.

Sangeeta Pendurkar
Sangeeta Pendurkar, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd


Sangeeta Pendurkar is the CEO of Pantaloons and Jaypore, at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited (ABFRL).

Sangeeta has had a successful career of over 30 years spanning across four diverse sectors i.e. FMCG, pharmaceuticals, financial services and retail. Prior to her current role, she was the Managing Director for Kellogg - India and South Asia.

Before joining Kellogg India, she has held senior positions at Coca-Cola India, HSBC Bank,Hindustan Unilever and at Novartis (then Hindustan Ciba-Geigy), where she started her career.

She has been listed as Fortune’s most powerful women in businessforsix consecutive yearsfrom 2012 to 2017. She is one of the top 50 most influential women in media and marketing for 2020. She is also on Business Today’slist of Most Powerful women in Indian Businessfor 2020. She was also recognized as the “CEO of the Year” at the ET Prime Women Leadership Awards, 2020.

Sangeeta has held various industry positions, during her career. She was the Chairperson of the FICCI - Food Processing Committee, for two consecutive years when she was part of the food industry. She is currently the Whole-time Director of ABFRL, Independent Director on the board of Vistara Airlines & on the board of Signify Innovations India Limited.

Sanjay Singal
Chief Operating Officer - Dairy & Beverages, ITC


Sanjay Singal is the Chief Operating Officer for ITC’s Dairy & Beverages business. In this role, he handles the P&L for the business encompassing all aspects including R&D, Manufacturing, Marketing, Sales and Operations. Prior to that, he was Head of Marketing for the Foods business of Dabur India Limited handling brands like Real Fruit Juices. In a career spanning nearly 25 years, he has handled senior P&L responsibilities and Functional leadership in Marketing and Sales for Personal Care and Foods businesses in India and abroad.

Sanjay started his career with Hindustan Unilever Limited in 1995, after completing his MBA from IIM Bangalore. At Unilever. he handled various responsibilities across Sales & Marketing for over 11 years in India and overseas on brands like Fair & Lovely and Dove with Asia responsibilities. Post that, he joined Yum Restaurants International as Senior Marketing Manager where he handled the 'Pizza Hut' brand for South Asia from 2005 to 2007.

Sanjay is associated actively with various Industry associations like Indian Beverage Association and Indian Dairy Association.

At ITC, Sanjay has led the entry of ITC into Dairy category with the launch of Fresh Dairy and Dairy Beverage businesses. He is also a member of the Divisional Management Committee of ITC Foods.

He is based in Bangalore. His wife is an artist and homemaker, his Son is pursuing Undergrad course in US and daughter is in school.

Mohit Malhotra
Chief Executive Officer, Dabur


Mr. Mohit Malhotra is the Chief Executive Officer of the $1.2 Billion Dabur India Limited, one of India’s largest consumer products maker & the world's largest Ayurvedic company. Under his leadership, Dabur has created a global footprint and has emerged as a transnational consumer products maker with presence across 120 countries.

A Management Graduate from Pune University, Mohit holds Executive Masters in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. He joined Dabur in 1994 and handled key assignments in Marketing and Sales. In 2001, he took over as the Business Head of European Union. He moved into Dabur’s International Business in 2004 as Head of Marketing, based in Dubai, and took over the reins as Chief Executive Officer of Dabur International in 2008. He took charge as the CEO-India Business and then as the Global CEO of the company in April 2019.

Mohit is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the $1.2 Billion Dabur India Ltd. and is driving the Company's agenda to popularise and contemporise Ayurveda while focusing on Dabur's motto of being "Dedicated to the Health & Well-Being of every household".

Mohit possesses a strong leadership record and has a deep understanding of the consumer and business landscape across geographies. His achievements in business have earned recognition at the global level. He has been ranked in Forbes Middle East's list of Arab World's leading Indian Executives, consecutively for 4 years in a row from 2014, besides being named the NRI Professional of the Year 2016. He was named amongst Most Inspiring CEOs of 2021, by The Economic Times. He was also named amongst Dominant Leaders to Watch in Healthcare 2021, besides being ranked 28 in the Top 100 Business Leaders list, Impact Digital Power 100, 2020.

His vision is characterized by the belief that all harmonious research work will spark new insights that are bound to deliver ROI for businesses.

A speaker at Global Media Research Forums of ESOMAR & ARF and continues to be a Visiting Faculty in leading B-Schools across India.

Abhijit Roy
MD & CEO, Berger Paints India


Mr. Abhijit Roy, a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, and an alumnus of IIM Bangalore (1991 batch) is a renowned business leader in Indian Paint Industry today.

Mr. Roy started his career with Asian Paints (I) Ltd and thereafter joined Lab Garnier, a division of L’Oreal in 1994. He joined Berger Paints in the year 1996 and handled various assignments including General Manager (Marketing), Vice President (Sales & Marketing), COO before finally taking over as MD and CEO from 1st July 2012.

With an experience of more than 25 years, Mr. Abhijit Roy has led Berger to achieve newer heights. Berger today is the 2nd largest Paint Company in India, 4th largest in Asia and 14th largest in the world.

It was under his leadership, Berger India’s market cap has increased from Rs.3693 Crores in 2012 to more than Rs.81000 Crores in 2021, taking it to the Top 100 most valuable companies in India.

He is the past Chairman of CII – ER and past President of IPA and present Management Committee member of Bengal Chamber of Commerce.

Sanjay Dutt
MD & CEO, Tata Realty & Infrastructure Limited


Mr. Sanjay Dutt is the MD & CEO of Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd and Tata Housing Development Company Ltd. Mr. Sanjay has over 28 years of experience in the Real Estate Development and Consulting space.

He is managing 20 ongoing projects measuring across 13 cities in India, Sri Lanka & Maldives, which includes Commercial, Retail, Hospitality and Residential (Luxury/Premier, Affordable, Second Home & Mixed-Use Township). He is also involved in the management of the infrastructure projects, which includes 3 rope ways, 4 roadways & a Metro project in Pune.

In his previous role, he was the CEO India Operations & Private Funds with The CapitaLand, a multinational Alternative Asset Management Company focusing on real estate, infrastructure and private equity.

Sanjay spent 23 years with top 3 Global Real Estate Consulting companies. He was MD South Asia at Cushman & Wakefield (2001-2008 and 2012-2016), also CEO Business with JLL (2008 – 2012) and was one of the founder member of CBRE, India (1996-2001).

Sanjay holds a Post-Graduate in Marketing & HR from the International Management Institute. He is the Chairman South Asia - RICS, Joint Chairman of the FICCI - Real Estate Committee and Chairman APREA Asia-Advocacy Committee, Advisory Board NAREDCO and Co-Chairman of ASSOCHAM – Ease of Doing Business Council and a member of CoreNet Global.

Ram Gopal

Ram contributes to the in-country leadership of India, with focus on strategy and execution. For the onshore business, he is responsible for the design and execution of a country strategy that supports the financial performance and market position of the banking entity in India. For the offshore and Wealth and Investment Management businesses, he provides effective support to the Country Manager in the discharge of governance responsibilities. He has been in this role since January 2013, is a member of the Country Management Committee, and until recently on the Board of Barclays Shared Services and Barclays Technology Centre, India.

Prior to this role, he was the Chief Operating Officer for the Retail and Corporate Banking division (GRCB) since July 2007. In 2009, he was the acting MD of the GRCB division in India.

Prior to joining Barclays, Ram spent 11 years at Standard Chartered UAE and three years at Citibank, India prior to that. He is a member of the European Business Group Banking and Finance committee where he represents the firm’s interests. Ram holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a CFA charter holder.

Zarin Daruwala is Cluster Chief Executive Officer, India and South Asia markets (Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka). In a career spanning over 31 years she has worked across all areas of banking ranging from wholesale banking, agri-finance, corporate finance, corporate planning, investment banking and credit.

She was selected as one of the Top 30 most powerful women in Indian business by Business Today seven times and features in the coveted “BT Hall of Fame” for being a consistent performer. She was also named the 13th most powerful woman in business by Fortune India in 2020. Business World has listed her among the 50 Most Influential Women in India. She has also been recognised for “Outstanding Contribution toward Banking and Financial Services” for 2017-18 by Ladies’ wing of IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Zarin features in “Top 100 Most Influential BFSI Leaders” released by the World BFSI Congress and Awards.

A rank holder in Chartered Accountancy, Zarin has also won the President's gold medal, topping the all India Company Secretary exams. She has also been conferred the CA Business Achiever award by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Prior to Standard Chartered, Zarin worked at ICICI Bank, where she spent 26 years of her career, starting out as a management trainee, eventually becoming President and Head of the Wholesale Banking business. She has also served on the Board of Directors of key ICICI group companies, ICICI Lombard General Insurance and ICICI Securities; and was also on the board of JSW Steel for almost eight years.
