Rajeev Chaba
President & Managing Director, MG Motor India
Rajeev Chaba is the President and Managing Director of MG Motor India, the India unit of the iconic Morris Garages British brand. He has over three decades of industry experience. Mr. Chaba has been instrumental in driving the MG brand in the country in a start-up-like setting, which has disrupted the industry in a significant way.
In his role at MG Motor India, Mr. Chaba has nurtured a strong, organization-wide focus on technology, gender diversity, and community service as key differentiators. Under his leadership, the marquee brand has successfully introduced 4 products within 2.5 years of operations with its products focused on Connected, Electric, Shared & Autonomous (CASE).
Over the course of his career, Mr. Chaba has held various senior positions within the top global automotive brands such as Chevrolet, Cadillac, Opel & Buick across multiple international markets. In 2005, he was the President & MD of GM in India. He has also served as the VP of Marketing & Sales at Shanghai-General Motors (SGM) in China and as the Chairman & MD for GM in North Africa & Egypt. Mr. Chaba started his career with Eicher Motors in 1990 after completing his Masters’ degree from IIM Bangalore.
Prior to joining MG Motor India, Mr. Chaba was the Global COO at Vanguard Logistics, Los Angeles (the USA) as part of Man Capital, UK, a PE firm. Mr. Chaba has also bagged several awards & recognitions during his illustrious career, including ‘Automotive Man of The Year’ by Autocar Professional 2019, ‘Editor’s Choice Award 2020’ by CSR Times, ‘Top 100 Marketing Leaders’, & Distinguished Alumni Awards from his Alma mater. Mr. Chaba is a regular speaker at various industry forums and business schools.
Ranjivjit Singh
Chief Marketing Officer, Hero MotoCorp
Ranjivjit is the Chief Marketing Officer at Hero MotoCorp since 1st July 2021. He has worked in the top multinational companies at CXO level for over 20 years, and has over 30 years’ work experience in building businesses and brands.
He was the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Samsung Southwest Asia for 6 years from 2014 to 2020, having helped built a $10 billion (INR 75,000 Crores) company and the Most Trusted Brand.
He has varied experience in sales, marketing, go-to-markets, business operations, business development and consulting across diverse categories such as technology and consumer marketing and is a founding member of ICA (Indian Cellular Association). While at Ericsson, he also led the first Telecom outsourcing deal with Airtel.
Ranjiv started his career with Unilever and grew into CXO positions with Levi's, Ericsson, Microsoft, HP and Samsung. He is an MBA from Mumbai University with specialization in Marketing.
He is passionate about equestrian sports and mentoring and building businesses, brands and teams.
