CMO India, The Hershey Company
Ankit Desai is the CMO India at The Hershey Company. In his role at Hershey, Ankit brings in extensive experience from renowned organizations such as Kellogg, Perfetti Van Melle, in building consumer brands, across diverse food categories of Chocolates, Breakfast Cereals, Snacks, Groceries, Health F&B, and Confectionary.
Under Ankit’s leadership, Hershey Marketing vertical has deepened its presence in the fast-growing
Indian chocolate market with the successful launch of the iconic Hershey’s Kisses and other chocolate
brands including Hershey’s Exotic Dark and Hershey’s Bar. During the same period, Ankit has successfully
built campaigns, innovations and initiatives, which have led to Hershey being among the top players
across multiple categories including chocolate syrup, chocolate spreads, milkshake, soya milk and
lollipops.
Prior to joining Hershey India, Ankit has spent more than 11 years in various marketing and sales roles at
Kellogg & Perfetti Van Melle.
Ankit’s expertise is in building sustainable & profitable brands. He thrives on unlocking potential and
building successful teams, bringing in culture of high bias for action and result-orientation. Recognized
industry thought leader, who has contributed to internal senior-level learning interventions, Ankit’s
orientation towards ‘thought leadership’, has led to many a successful cross-media campaigns and
launches, with 25+ industry awards.
Ankit enjoys spending most of his time post work with his wife, Delnaz, a seasoned HR professional and
their nine-year-old daughter Hriana. He is a fitness enthusiast and a movie buff.
Arjun Bhatia

A marketing leader, Arjun has 20 years of experience across eCommerce, Smartphones, Consumer Electronics, FMCG and Technology industries. His academic credentials include an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies Delhi and an engineering degree from Delhi College of Engineering. He earlier worked with Samsung India Electronics, IBM, Motorola and ITC Limited.
Damyant Singh
Chief Marketing Officer, Oppo India
Damyant Singh Khanoria, Chief Marketing Officer, OPPO India.
Damyant is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience who comes with an in-depth
understanding of the smartphone industry and a compelling marketing portfolio across some
leading consumer brands.
In his current role as the Chief Marketing Office at OPPO India, he is leading the Marketing team
and has been entrusted to strategize the marketing operations for the brand across India.
Beginning his career as a brand communications manager, Damyant moved on to head brand
marketing for adidas India as AGM. In this role, Damyant spearheaded a large product
marketing team which accounted for ~94% of the Indian business of the brand.
Damyant made a shift to the smartphone technology business in 2016 when he joined one of the
leading smartphone brands in India as the head of marketing communications. His role focused
on helping the brand understand the Indian consumer landscape to drive growth, build a strong
base and deepen the connection with Indian consumers.
On the education front, Damyant has completed his ISC in Economics, Commerce from Tashi
Namgyal Academy, Gangtok and B. A. (HONS.) in Economics from Shri Ram College of
Commerce, Delhi.
In his free time, Damyant loves to play Football, Golf and reading/ listening to podcasts.
Deepika Warrier
Chief Marketing Officer, DIAGEO India
Deepika Warrier leads the Marketing & Innovation function at Diageo India (United Spirits Ltd). As Chief
Marketing Office, Deepika oversees Diageo India’s wide range of award-winning alcohol and beverage
portfolio, with brands including Johnny Walker, Black and White, Singleton, Black Dog, Smirnoff,
Tanqueray, Gordons,Baileys, Guinness, McDowell’s No 1 , Royal Challenge, Signature and Antiquity
An experienced marketer known for her consumer centric and transformational approach, she has over
the years played a pivotal role in building brands and driving double digit growth.
Deepika has an outstanding track record of over 25 years in the industry. Prior to joining Diageo, she
spent 20 years with Pepsico, where she was instrumental in driving strategic development, innovation,
brand equity enhancement and resource allocation across an extended range of refreshment beverages,
and juice-based drinks.
In her journey at PepsiCo, Warrier held key positions, including that of the MD & CEO at NourishCo
Beverages, Vice-President – Nutrition Category for PepsiCo India as well as PepsiCo AMENA (Asia, Middle
East and North Africa), based out of Dubai and as the CMO for PepsiCo India, where she handled a portfolio
of 22 iconic brands including Lay’s, Kurkure, Quaker Oats, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, 7Up, Mirinda, Gatorade,
Tropicana and Slice Juices and juice drinks.
Prior to PepsiCo, Deepika worked in companies like, Gillette, Ogilvy and Mather and Britannia Industries.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, Deepika also holds an honours degree
from Lady Shriram College, Delhi University.
She is an avid quizzer, reader and traveller (In pre COVID times) and loves spending time with her 2 sons
Jai and Vir and her lab retriever Yuri.
Debojo Maharshi
Chief Business Officer, Spicejet
Debojo is a successful entrepreneur, marketing specialist and digital evangelist who founded
a company at the age of 26 in the area of technological and digital marketing consulting that
offers turnkey solutions to clients that operate in sectors as diverse as education, health and
publishing.
Debojo has played an integral role in BJP’s general election campaigns since 2004. He
played a major role in shaping the BJP’s high-octane campaign during the 2014 Lok Sabha
Elections, which has now become a subject of case study in leading business schools and
universities. He has over 22 years of experience in areas of Marketing, Brand Management,
Business Planning, Strategy, e-Commerce, Product Development and Technology. He is
currently the Chief Business Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of SpiceJet and his current
roles and responsibilities include financial planning, facilitating growth, marketing
strategies, marketing automation and oversee the development of new products and
lead the ecommerce strategy. He is also the founder of the SpiceJet Flight School and
the training academy and is responsible for several other new initiatives at SpiceJet.
Mr. Maharshi has played a pivotal role in enhancing the aviation route map of North East
India. He has also played a critical role in enhancing the air freight cargo network of India.
The cargo network of SpiceJet has made it possible for North East India’s fresh produce to
be exported to the Middle East. In the past he has worked with leading brands such as Coca
Cola, Airtel, Gillette, Canon, Hero Honda etc. He was also responsible for managing the
entire Marketing Communications at Commonwealth Games Delhi 2010.
Under his efforts SpiceJet adopted the remote village of BARUAHCHUCK, in the Majuli
district in Assam for providing sustainable energy access through solar microgrid to the
people living here thereby improving their quality of life. In an initiative to provide electricity to
un-electrified Indian households, SpiceJet adopted BARUAHCHUCK village. The initiative
will fuel new life choices for the people for whom even the basic amenities of life seemed a
distant dream. Debojo in his personal capacity works with Miracle, an NGO for child
adoption.
Debojo is native of Assam and did his schooling from Tezpur and Guwahati before he went
to pursue his higher studies from the University of Delhi. He is married to Mitali and they
have a 6 year old son, Manvik. He is also the Vice President and Chairman, Marketing
Commission of Boxing Federation of India.
Kapil Grover
Chief Marketing Officer, Burger King India
Kapil Grover is the Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King India and leads all marketing initiatives for
the brand. Being a seasoned marketer with 22 years of rich experience, Kapil has a proven track record
of building brands and driving relevant consumer innovations. As the head of marketing, he is
entrusted with leading and formulating Burger King India’s marketing strategy that aims to reinforce
the brand’s presence with a strong Menu strategy. He is also strengthening online delivery channels
for Burger King India especially the BK App.
In his previous role as Chief Marketing Officer with Domino’s, he has built new channels like train
delivery, launched the new brand positioning of Dil Dosti Dominos and helped accelerate brand
recovery during the pandemic. Prior to this, he had spent almost eight years with KFC where he was
instrumental in leading growth initiatives and creating engaging brand activations that won several
awards. Kapil’s other stints include brands such as Radico Khaitan and Luxor Writing Instruments.
He has recently been named as one of the Top 50 CMOs in India by StartupLanes.
Kapil is married to Shelly and has a daughter, Hunar.

Saurabh Jain is an accomplished International Marketer

Saurabh is responsible for strengthening Reckitt’s Hygiene portfolio across India, Bangladesh & Sri
Lanka.
During his tenure at Reckitt, Saurabh has been instrumental in building brands, through purpose-led
campaigns showcasing innovation and Reckitt’s commitment to address significant societal issues
while delivering strong business results. Before moving back to India, Saurabh managed Reckitt’s
Marketing Operations in Australia and New Zealand for its consumer hygiene portfolio. He formerly
led strategic and creative marketing for Reckitt’s disinfection portfolio globally.

Sumeet Singh

Sumeet Singh is a seasoned and dynamic marketing professional with 23 years of experience.
She is currently serving as the Chief Marketing Officer of Info Edge, India’s largest consumer internet
business that owns leading portals in the job, real estate, education and match making fields. She is
credited with driving these businesses to being leaders in their respective fields and has created some
iconic films for these brands.
She was the Founder Executive Director of The Indus Entrepreneurs, Delhi and has served as the
Executive Director of the Indian Venture Capital Association in her past assignments. Sumeet was also
a part of the IT advisory councils of the government.

Sooraj Balakrishnan
Head of Marketing, Acer India
Sooraj Balakrishnan is currently the Head of Marketing at Acer overseeing India
and Bangladesh markets. He is responsible for the entire product portfolio
across PCs, tablets, monitors, projectors, audio, air purifiers and smart IoT
devices for consumer, education, enterprise, government and banking
segments. In his capacity he drives brand preference, customer acquisitions,

Siddharth Butalia
